My garage door will open using the remote opener but not close?

I can open the door using the remote opener but it will not close using it. I have to stand inside and use the wall panel to close the door and it will only do so if I hold it until it is completely shut–otherwise, it stops and when pressed again goes back up. Model is Overhead Door 1/2 HP #OCG750. Light on wall panel stays lit red. One of the sensors on floor (the one that I think shows green) is not lit.
one or more of the floor sensors are malfunction try cleaning the eye
check the infra red safety switch (led Light Beam) it might be off the reflector
